Qualifications

PHYSICAL EFFORT AND WORK CONDITIONS: Work required of employee necessitates standing for long periods of time, being able to use hand and power tools for days on end, bending, crawling, climbing, and working in awkward positions for long periods of time. Incumbent may be required to work in tight, isolated spaces, and spaces not designed for human occupancy. Incumbent will regularly lift and move loads in excess of 40 pounds. The majority of the employee's time will be spent indoors, but employee will be required to work in harsh weather conditions during all seasons. Employee will be exposed to rick of cuts, bruises, scrapes, and burns. Employee may be required to work in contaminated and contagious areas, in areas where a variety of radiations are used. At times the employee will be required to wear PPE including but not limited to electrical safety gloves, boots, safety glasses, respiratory protection and utilize other trade related safety equipment. Some work is performed in areas where the worker is exposed to moderate or high noise levels from operating machinery, fumes, and hazards associated with industrial and construction settings. Includes work on and around scaffolds and ladders. The employee may work in confined areas such as crawl spaces and attics which may be dusty and dirty. All job functions require the incumbent understand how and when to wear and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). PPE may be required to be worn for extended periods of time and may include but not limited to: steel toed shoes, safety glasses, hard hats, fall restraints, Tyvek suits, hearing, insulating clothing, and respiratory protection. Strenuous physical exertion may be required when handling heavy/bulky materials such as sheets of plywood, and other building/construction materials.
