Job Duties/Description:

• Review daily MRP demand and take appropriate action to ensure materials are available to meet production schedules.
• Place purchase orders with suppliers in accordance with production requirements.
• Research, source, and purchase quality materials and products, including labels, Uline items, office supplies, and production materials.
• Assess and select vendors based on factors such as price, delivery terms, quality, and other performance metrics.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve the best value for the company.
• Monitor and manage supplier performance metrics, conducting periodic supplier evaluations and benchmarking activities.
• Verify order details, including quantities, specifications, and delivery schedules, ensuring alignment with company policies.
• Participate in biannual inventory counts to ensure accuracy.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, ensuring effective communication and resolving issues like shipping errors or pricing discrepancies.
• Collaborate with Quality Control to address supplier corrective action reports (SCAR) and enhance supplier performance.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure procurement activities are aligned with broader business and operational goals.

Requirements:

• Previous experience purchasing Labels is required
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management within a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency in using procurement software or ERP systems.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective supplier relationships.
• Self-driven, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adjust to shifting priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Additional Info:

• Pay range: $ 85,000-$100,000 with an 8% bonus potential
• Schedule: Monday - Friday 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm
• Location: 100% onsite
